Ashwani Kumar Prithviwasi, born on 8th December 1972 in New Delhi, is an accomplished artist with a diverse portfolio. He holds a B.F.A. from the Collage of Art, New Delhi (1996), an M.A. in Painting from Jiwaji University, Gwalior (2001), and various fine art diplomas since 1992.
Prithviwasi's artistic journey includes solo exhibitions such as "Yatra" at AIFACS Art Gallery (2012), Group Exhibition ‘VIGNETTE’ at Lalit Kala Academy (2010), to international showcases like the group exhibition at SAN FRANCISCO in U.S.A. (2010), group exhibition at Imperial Academy of Arts in St.Petersburg, Russia (2022) & many more. His group exhibitions span locations from Jaipur to San Francisco, displaying his work on both national and international stages.
Awards, including the AIFACS Award in 2009, highlight his recognition within the art community. He has also participated in camps and workshops, contributing to his holistic artistic development. His extensive list of museum visits includes prominent institutions across Italy, France, the USA, China, Thailand, London, Switzerland, Greece, Russia, and more have given him diverse perspectives of art. Prithviwasi's work has found a place in prestigious collections, including those of the former Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit, various embassies, and notable individuals like Late. Manjeet Bawa, Anupam Kher, and Salman Khan, etc.
Currently serving as the Founder and Principal of Delhi Collage of Art, Prithviwasi has also been an active member of judging committees for numerous programs organized by institutions like the Embassy of Kuwait, IIT Kanpur, IIT Delhi, Lady Shri Ram College, JDVC College, Miranda House, and many more.
With a studio based in Safdarjung Enclave, New Delhi, Ashwani Kumar Prithviwasi continues to make significant contributions to the world of art, leaving an indelible mark on both national and international platforms. He is a TEDx FMS speaker and has more than 3 decades of experience in the domain of Fine Art Education while having taught more than 10k students of 45+ countries.
