Anita Sharma is an entrepreneur, DEI consultant, educator, and podcaster. She is a Fellow (Ph.D.) of IIM Indore and the India Inclusion Foundation. She is popularly known as the 'Girl on Four Wheels' for her passion for car driving. She holds the record of being India’s first woman skydiver with a disability. She quit her IIM professorship job to follow her passion and founded ‘Drive On My Own Foundation’, is a way to freedom and mobility independence through driving for people with locomotive disabilities. It provides end-to-end solutions that help them learn to drive on accessible and modified cars.
Her work in the disability space is exemplary and is featured by Femina, The Business Standard, Outlook, The Tribune, The Better India, Your Story Media, and many TV news channels. She is the recipient of the highly recognized ‘Positive Health Award-2019’ by Dr. Batra’s Foundation for her work in the disability sector. She is one of the 21 most Inspiring Women of Rajasthan 2021 and has been honored with The Iron Lady Award, 2024.
As a solo-traveler, she has explored more than ten countries and 21 states in India. She is a dreamer and die-hard optimist and a beacon of light for people seeking independence through assistive technologies for mobility.
